The Global Connector program helps companies develop export markets. We connect companies with multi-lingual professionals to develop and execute on plans for exporting to those new markets.

Alberta Export Readiness Micro-Voucher Alberta Innovates (formerly AITF) For-profit SME in Alberta with existing sales of at least $50,000 Provides $10,000 for the development of a targeted international market entry strategy
Alberta-Germany Collaboration Fund for Product Development and Commercialization German-Canadian Centre for Innovation and Research (GCCIR) Alberta SME Provides opportunities for Alberta SMEs to undertake join innovative product development projects with German SMEs, research institutions or universities.

Alberta-Jalisco Innovation & Commercialization Program InnoTech Alberta (formerly AITF) Alberta SME Provides opportunities for Alberta and Jalisco, Mexico SMEs to collaborate

Covers incremental expenditure for new employee salary, training, equipment and materials, contractors, travel

Alberta SME Export Support Fund Government of Alberta For-profit company with annual sales of $50,000 to $25 million, minimum one full-time employee, incorporated in Alberta for at least 2 years, operating in Alberta, developing sales in a market that represents less than 10% or less of the company’s sales for the last 12 months. Eligible companies are reimbursed between $2,000 and $20,000 per year for a select range of approved export activities.
Alberta-Zhejiang Global Partnership Program InnoTech Alberta (formerly AITF) Alberta SME or MNE in biotech, nano medicine, life sciences, medical products, ag and forestry, energy saving & renewable energy, environmental technologies Matchmaking opportunity for Alberta SMEs with companies in Zhejiang Province, China for industry collaboration in R&D for the purpose of commercialization
Canadian International Innovation Program (CIIP) NRC-IRAP/ GAC/CIIRDF For profit incorporated SME developing technology for new product, process or service for civilian use Supports commercialization of technologies with international partners (Brazil, China, India, South Korea, Israel)

Eligible R&D: Technology Adaptation, Technology Validation, Technology Co-development

CanExport GAC via Trade Commissioner Services Incorporated or LLP, SME, $200K to $50M in revenue in Canada, All sectors except ag, food & beverage, fish & seafood, wine, beer and spirit sectors Provides funds for SMEs seeking to develop new export opportunities and markets in priority markets and sectors

Covers costs in new markets for business travel to target markets, trade fair & trade missions, market research, adaptation of marketing tools

EUREKA NRC-IRAP SME, MNE, NFP, Universities, research institutes, incubators, technology transfer organizations of member countries Cross-border collaboration among project participants uses existing R&D innovation programs in member countries (Europe, Israel, South Korea)

Assist with navigating the requirements for the joint collaboration projects

Going Global Innovation (GGI) GAC SME, University, NGO research centre, commercialize technology by pursuing collaborative international R&D through partnerships Covers costs for international collaboration: travel, accommodation, meal, legal fees to support formalized partnerships, and other costs related to international collaboration
Trade Mission Support EDT Alberta based company Provides funding to participate in trade missions organized by the Government of Alberta
