Lan has over 10 years of experience in International Business, Marketing and Business Development as well as owning her own business. As an independent consultant, her projects included performing market analysis; providing strategies on market entry; and performing competitive analysis. Her educational background includes a BSc in International Business from Copenhagen Business School and International MBA from the University of Ottawa.

Over 10 years experience of facility management originating with the Research Transition Facility(UA campus) and currently TEC Centre located on the 4th floor at Enterprise Square.
Shelley McDonald
Shelley McDonaldEntrepreneur Development Coordinator
Shelley has been with TEC since 2007 and helps manage the first contact intake process, database and customer relationship manager inquiries. In addition, Shelley manages the entrepreneur training programs, plans and manages industry events and coordinates the TEC Source Advisory Panel. Previously, Shelley was the Assistant/Event Coordinator in the Development and Public Relations Office at the University of Alberta Faculty of Nursing, and Education Coordinator for internal staff at the Alberta Motor Association. A graduate of NAIT, Shelley spends her free time on the curling rink, camping and creating handmade greeting cards.
Kathleen Norman
Kathleen NormanInnovation Ecosystem Navigator
Kathleen guides technology-based entrepreneurs, researchers and inventors through the vast Edmonton innovation ecosystem of business resources. She also connects new entrepreneurs with available resources in Edmonton including prototype development, marketing, business development, entrepreneur development, financing or networking events.

Kathleen holds a Bachelor of Commerce in marketing and entrepreneurship from Dalhousie University and a Master of Environmental Design in Life Cycle Assessments from University of Calgary. Outside of TEC, Kathleen is one of the founders of the international Conservation Marketing and Engagement Working Group with the Society for Conservation Biology. Her free time is spent practicing yoga, hiking, downhill skiing and salsa dancing.

Aaron Budnick
Aaron BudnickProgram Manager
Aaron joined the TEC Edmonton team in August 2018, but has been working closely with business owners and entrepreneurs his entire career. In addition, he has been actively involved in the entrepreneur development ecosystem since 2015.

With a degree in mathematics, Aaron combines his analytical mind, his friendly demeanor and his desire to build strong towards his role as Program Manager. In his role, Aaron works closely with the TEC Edmonton team to manage programs including the TEC Launch Program, TEC advisory panels and workshops. As a collaborative team player with a strong sense of community, Aaron is passionate about bringing the best available services and resources to TEC Edmonton’s clients.

In his spare time, Aaron is involved in local charities and grassroots initiatives including Rainforest Alberta – YEG.

Bridget Casey
Bridget CaseyProgram Manager
Having joined the TEC Edmonton team in August 2018, Bridget connects entrepreneurs with the programs and resources they need to start, grow, and scale up their business. Bridget brings experience in business development from her work at a technology start-up incubator in Calgary, as well as more than five years as an entrepreneur. Her focus at TEC Edmonton is on student entrepreneurs and women in technology. Bridget holds a BSc. from the University of Alberta and an MBA in Finance from the University of Calgary and was recognized as one of Alberta’s Top Young Innovators in 2016.
