Keith Fenrich, Ph.D., developed a novel light switch interface designed for individuals with reduced mobility and limited range of motion, such as children and persons with physical disabilities. The adaptor easily mounts over an existing light switch and presents two cable extensions that can be used to toggle the switch on and off, while simultaneously retaining the ability for users to also operate the switch directly in a conventional manner. 3Ft Reach Inc. was founded to bring this product to market as well as develop new products in the same field.
