Here's an upcoming conference in Edmonton that's a must-attend for anybody from any business or organization that's looking for that all-important, technology-assisted competitive edge.
Analytics, Big Data and the Cloud, at the Fantasyland Hotel Conference Centre in West Edmonton Mall from April 23 to April 25 is all about learning the latest in computing-based analytics tools and techniques to enhance producivity, identify opportunities, assess effectiveness and so on.
The conference has four objectives:
*Learning about the latest in analytic tools and techniques.
*Checking out current and anticipated analytics applications.
*Networking among the local analytics pros.
*Advancing Alberta's analytics industry
Included are five pre-conference workshops on analytics applications and industry policy, six keynote addresses addressing analytics advancements from around the world, networking receptions and 30 panels on the application of analytics to some 13 sectors - i.e. finance, energy, transport, geomantics, healthcare etc.
The conference is being hosted by the University of Alberta's School of Business, Athabasca University and the Alberta Council of Technologies.
