If you're not doing anything after work tomorrow, being Thursday, January 26, drop by the Hotel Macdonald.

From 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. BioAlberta (with support from TEC Edmonton,Innovate Calgary and  EEDC) is presenting an interesting session - socializing for an hour (doing that networking thing) with folks from Venture Alberta and other investors.
 

Then representatives of six startup companies - TEC Edmonton clients Ceapro, Metabolomics Technologies, Innovative Trauma Care plusKMT Hepatech, Meros Pharma and SinoVeda Canada - will step up to the mic for but five minutes each to make "elevator pitches" to the room.
 

After the pitches, a panel of evaluators will offer constructive critiques of the pitches, both to the room and the participants, so that all will go off into the night one step closer to making the "perfect pitch." Who knows, maybe one or two will be adopted by an angel investor or venture capitalist!
