Startup Edmonton, a social enterprise working to amplify creative innovation and activate startups in Edmonton, led by entrepreneurs, for entrepreneurs, has some interesting events on the immediate horizon.

 DemoCamp Edmonton 16 is tonight, i.e. Tues. Nov. 21, 2011 at 7 p.m. in the TELUS Centre at the U of A - the conference centre on the south side of 87 Avenue, just east of the Timms Centre.

Register if possible.

DemoCamp is a free community event that brings together developers, creatives, entrepreneurs and investors to share what they’ve been working on and to find others in the community interested in similar topics.

The rules for DemoCamp are simple: ten minutes to demo real, working products, followed by a few minutes for questions, and no slides allowed.

Next Startup Edmonton get-together is "Founders & Funders", 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 5 at the Manor Cafe, 10109 125 Street.  Founders & Funders is an informal get-together of emerging technology startup founders, and the people who fund these companies (angels, venture capitalists, etc.) These are invite-only events to entrepreneurs and investors for approximately 50 people in attendance. Cost is $25 per participant (including appetizers and drinks).
