TEC Edmonton’s ability to provide technology transfer and business services to the region was significantly enhanced today with the appointment of Chris Lumb as TEC Edmonton’s CEO, and Dr. Randall Yatscoff as Vice President of the TEC Executive-in-Residence Program.

 As former President and CEO of Micralyne – an Edmonton-based MEMS (micro-electro-mechanical systems) developer and manufacturer - Mr. Lumb has a proven record in growing a startup into a thriving corporation, creating long-term commercial value from emerging technologies, and developing sustained client and stakeholder relationships.

Supported by Ingenuity Enterprise, the TEC Student Entrepreneurship program, in partnership with the UofA  School of Business held its 2nd TEC Innovation Contest. Read more . . .   

Growing pains? No problem

VibeDx, a University of Alberta spin-off company has developed a technology to help back pain sufferers. Dr. Greg Kawchuk Associate Professor of Physical Therapy and inventor of the VibeDx technology has been working with TEC Edmonton to grow the company. From technology transfer to business planning, Dr. Kawchuk has especially appreciated the great leadership that Cameron Schuler, TEC Libin Executive-in-Residence, has brought to the table.
