Company Development
Advanced-technology startup companies are the building blocks of our growing knowledge-based economy, and are a key component of the fastest-growing sectors in the developed world. Creating companies to be based in the Edmonton region guarantees job creation, economic diversification and longterm benefits for the local community. TEC Edmonton has two core programs to help grow technology ventures.
Visit our Programs section for details on:

Deal Generator Program:

- Provides quality, prepared entrepreneurs to investment group
- Provides quality preparedness advice to participating entrepreneurs
- Facilitates presentation of prepared entrepreneurs to suitable potential investors
- Enhances co-operation with commercial financing facilities
For entrepreneurs and inventors from the broader Edmonton community, TEC Edmonton works with our regional partners to provide support services that help make advanced-technology ventures succeed. We are also working on the single most important issue identified by early stage companies: access to seed capital and early financing support. Connecting accredited investors with qualified, prepared and growth-oriented entrepreneurs is a key focus of our programs.
Our priority is to produce viable, sustainable companies that have good potential to succeed. This means we focus on quality ventures rather than pushing for quantity of new start-ups.
