The businesses chosen to enter into the TEC Business Development program are taken under the wing of our company development team and become what we call a 'portfolio company.' The TEC Business Development team works together to accelerate the commercialization process as much as they can to move the portfolio company towards success quickly with adequate support.
Since its inception the TEC Business Development program has helped create more than 60 companies and 1000 jobs in the local high-tech sector. The estimated market capitalization of all our portfolio companies exceeds $900 million.
